Charli XCX gave fans a lot of exciting news during the world premiere of her latest banger “Trophy” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show. The U.K pop star will be joining the ranks of talented musicians and on-air personalities with her upcoming Beats 1 show called “The Candy Shop”. XCX plans on dropping a SOPHIE produced EP this Friday and I’m beyond hype to hear their collaborative effort. If you didn’t hear their record “Vroom Vroom” when it premiered on Beats 1 last year than I’d recommend hearing the official version now because the slow thumper still has all the bite and sass that I loved from the initial listen.

“Trophy” manages to hit even harder as SOPHIE gives XCX a beat she can go wild on specifically on the banging hook after the Pulp Fiction sampled “I want that trophy”. Besides new music Charli also announced her new label Vroom Vroom Recordings which will  showcase a new wave of pop artists that plan to dominate the genre. Very excited for everything Charli XCX has in-store for us!
