Nicki Minaj and Beyonce decided to casually drop a bomb in the form of a visual for “Feeling Myself” exclusively on the music streaming app Tidal (#TidalForAll remember?). If the mere announcement of this visual didn’t get you excited and ready to break that piggy bank to start your Tidal account, maybe my reaction will do the trick (Or just find it illegally somewhere, that’s always an option)….

“Feeling Myself” off of Minaj’s third album The Pinkprint obviously became a highly anticipated release for fans of Yonce or anyone that heard Nic slay the remix of “Flawless” a couple months back. I was a big fan of the track as soon as I heard it from the laid back trap beat and SZA writing for the song  to Beyonce’s short yet dope contribution to the track so seeing it get the video treatment is great. Now let’s talk about the visuals!

Filmed around the time of Coachella, the visual starts with Bey and Nic  posing in front of a Coachella city sign looking effortlessly #FLAWLESS with Bey turning up real quick for the camera. What goes down next looks like the greatest adventure you wish you were a part of from lounging by the pool, twerking in bathrooms, water guns, a fry fight and so much more. It looks like the duo had fun making the video and they both look amazing in the multiple outfit changes. I said I wouldn’t mind hearing more collaborations between the Queen of Pop and Queen of Rap after that Flawless Remix before and this visual definitely supports that previous statement.

I could see “Feeling Myself” having a spot in any Top 40 or Urban radio station and maybe the video will help Tidal gain some good press and hopefully more loyal subscribers (Tidal, I’m all yours when #R8 drops!)
