Last week Alessia Cara decided to cover Frank Ocean’s “Super Rich Kids” from his classic album Channel Orange on BBC Radio 1 and she definitely did it justice. The ode to the wealthy youth with problems as seemingly big as their bank accounts sounds glorious with Cara’s soulful vocals. I never get tired of the polished feel of Ocean’s lyrics, I can picture tears being wiped with hundred dollar bills and copious empty liquor bottles littering a huge bedroom floor while “Super Rich Kids” plays in the background.
