SZA! Forgive me for not writing my praises for your latest single “Love Galore” when it dropped all the way back in April. I tend to update this blog in random blasts of posts (shoutout to the people who check out the blog daily, you make me want to consistently post!) but enough about me, let’s talk about “Love Galore”. 

How do I put this calmly? “LOVE GALORE” IS A VIBE. Issa bop! Issa hit! Produced by thankgod4cody and Carter Lan, “Love Galore” is a bouncy, infectious dream with SZA starting the song with the lines, “Done with these niggas / I don’t trust these niggas / I dust off these niggas / Do it for fun.” It’s apparent SZA is confident and ready to have fun while telling a few undesirables off in the process. Between the playful lyrics and the dreamy production, I never get tired of hearing SZA beautifully kiss off a past love. 

Travis Scott is featured on this bop and thankfully adds to the replay value of the song. Scott vibing through his verses definitely compliments SZA’s sound. I would love to hear what other sweet sounds Travis and SZA could make together. “Love Galore” is the second single from SZA’s HIGHLY anticipated debut album CTRL coming sometime before I die (GET TOP ON THE PHONE). I can’t express how excited I am to hear this project come to fruition and for SZA to gain the accolades and love that she deserves. SZA might have started off as an indie hidden gem but with a newly signed contract with RCA, amazing music on the way and reassurance that she’s the artist that she needs and wants to be, I just want to see her shine and let the rest of the world catch on when they’re ready.
