Sevyn Streeter has been amping up anticipation for her long awaited debut album Girl Disrupted due to drop early next year with a new single each month leading to the release. From the Gucci Mane assisted “Prolly” to the laid back sexy cut “My Love For You”, Girl Disrupted is shaping up to be a solid R&B release and the latest single has me even more excited to hear Sevyn’s hard work. “D4L” came out on October 14th and I’ve been hooked on the ride or die anthem since it dropped. 

The Dream features on the catchy mid-tempo cut that has Sevyn letting her guy know she’s down to ride no matter what. The radio killa’s classic harmonies are placed perfectly throughout the track and the hook is an instant ear worm that commands your attention during each listen. When Sevyn starts riding the beat during the second verse, I’m more than sold on this song.

The mellow, drum driven production gives “D4L” a soothing vibe and when you have two hit makers penning the track, you can’t really go wrong. I was feeling “My Love For You” when it dropped but “D4L” hasn’t left my playlist rotation since I heard it and I’ll definitely continue blasting it until Girl Disrupted drops. Sevyn tends to get her props as a song writer but she needs more love on the artist forefront. I always include the  “It Won’t Stop” singer in the list of new artists making the R&B genre exciting again and I can’t wait for the mainstream audience to take notice.
