OTW Playlist Feb 29 2016

Discover something new with the OTW (On The Wavve) playlists. Any music suggestions are always appreciated, I love falling in love with new music.

It’s the second week of #WAVVEWEDNESDAYS and I’m excited to share a new playlist with you guys! I won’t lie, “Work From Home” by Fifth Harmony has been on repeat a lot since it released last Friday but I always have room for new songs. So check out the new list and let me know if you found a new song to fall in love with!

She’s American – The 1975

The 1975 released their second album I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It on February 26th to rave reviews from all the critics and I definitely have to add my positive notes to the list. The 1975’s sophomore effort is just as infectious as their debut release with intricate electropop production and lush vocals from Matthew Healy. “She’s American” has to be my favorite cut from the record right now with it’s tongue-in-cheek lyrics (“If she likes it cause we just don’t eat / And we’re socially relevant / she’s American.”) and 80s sounding production.

Girls Like (Feat Zara Larsson) – Tinie Tempah

The pulsing beats are the perfect backdrop for Tinie Tempah and Zara Larsson’s latest banger “Girls Like”. Tempah’s bars are chill without lacking bite and Larsson sounds amazing on the catchy hook. I would love if America gave this one some love!

Uber Everywhere – Madeintyo

Since I’m always listening to new music it takes some effort to keep up with different genres and rap has been taking a backseat for a minute. From making beats for the biggest names in rap (Future, Migos and Young Thug) Madeintyo (Short for Made In Tokyo) is craving out his own lane as an artist. “Uber Everywhere” is a chill rap song that’s fun to have on repeat and even more fun to rap to. I definitely need to visit Madeintyo’s soundcloud and do my homework but I’m digging my first listen of his music.

What do you think of this week’s playlist? Let me know in the comments!
