Kehlani aka Baelani continues to kill it in 2015. From earning a Grammy nomination for her album MIXTAPE You Should Be Here and sold out shows in the U.S. and the U.K. the Oakland newcomer has proven her worth and will dominate 2016. To give fans a taste of what she’s working on for her debut album, Kehlani released a song on SoundCloud called “Tore Up” on December 5th and the slow burner already has over a million plays.

Produced by Jahaan Sweet, “Tore Up” has Kehlani doing what she does best, pouring her feelings out on dope R&B production with an edge. “But I still pop one to feel a little better / About looking in the mirror / I still pour up to make it all easier,” Kehlani confesses over a slow pulsing beat. While we wait for another full length record Kehlani has feature on G-Eazy’s latest album When It’s Dark Out called “Everything Will Be Okay” and she continues to buzz in different music publications. Knowing how hard Kehlani had to grind to get where she is very inspiring and I hope she’s enjoying every ounce of success she’s receiving right now. She deserves it.
