The U.S. arrival of worldwide superstar CL has been in the works since 2014 when she signed with Scooter Braun and I couldn’t be more excited to hear her latest single “Hello Bitches”.
With production from long time collaborator Teddy “Hello Bitches” sounds like the perfect continuation of “The Baddest Female”. I was slightly nervous to hear a debut album with CL only spitting English rhymes but this track definitely put those worries to rest. I’m expecting to hear a hybrid of English and Korean rap over insane production from Teddy, Diplo and Skrillex but until the album drops “Hello Bitches” is a nice preview of what’s to come. And the music video…
Excuse my language buts it’s fucking lit!
With the help of Parris Goebel and her crew ReQuest, CL performs some of the most hype choreography I’ve ever seen her do in a music video.
If I didn’t already like the song, CL effortlessly killing this visual would make me a fan, from a dope performance by ReQuest to CL’s attitude being on 10. This isn’t a song for the charts, it’s a statement that CL has been ready to slay the American music scene for awhile and now that she’s here, she wants you to take notice.
Hopefully “Hello Bitches” gives CL more buzz and sets her debut up nicely. I’m ready for more and I have a feeling if you don’t know CL’s name now, you’ll be taking notice in 2016.
What do you think of “Hello Bitches”? Let me know in the comments!
