Pia Mia received some much needed recognition back in May when she released her debut single “Do It Again” featuring Chris Brown and Tyga. The breezy J Boog sampled pop banger made it’s way to Billboard Hot 100 Singles but Pia still has some work to do to get the mainstream audience’s attention. Last week the Guam star in the making released her second single “Touch” and it coos hit potential.

“Touch” is a little more slowed down compared to “Do It Again” but the sensual slow burner isn’t lacking any heat. The island tinged production reminds me of all the recent music Justin Bieber has been putting out but Pia’s toned down vocals hit all the right spots. If the mid-tempo beat wasn’t catchy enough, the hook definitely delivers as Pia Mia let’s her guy know, “Cause sometimes / All I wanna do is be touched / All I wanna do is be loved / All I wanna do is be touched / So touch me.” “Touch” is one of those songs that can’t help but become infectious the more you hear it.

I’ve been riding with Pia Mia since the days of red bandanas, grills and catchy pop numbers on her EP The Gift. From a dope R&B cover (Fill Me In (Featuring Austin Mahone) to a lit collaboration with G-Eazy (“Fuck With You”), Pia Mia continues to prove that she’s more than a pretty face and she has the potential to be huge in due time.
