I’ll admit that I’ve been lacking on reviewing rap albums but I feel like I’ve been focusing on rap music non stop lately. Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise has been getting a lot of spins since it came out in February and now I’m at that point where I play certain songs on a loop. First it was “Paradise” because I was obsessed with the preview he released while working on the album. Next was the Yeezy assisted “All Your Fault” and now it’s the bedroom banger “Play No Games”.

Sampling a group that my mom most likely loved back in the 80s (Guy’s “Piece of My Love”), “Play No Games” has Sean’s dope flow over a sleek Key Wane production. I’m feeling the lyrics and Chris Brown and Ty Dolla Sign’s contribution to the track. “Play No Games” could definitely do well on the charts. Give it a listen if you haven’t had a chance to hear Dark Sky Paradise yet!
