Being a fan of most genres of music is a rewarding and sometimes tiring hobby. While I love discovering new artists, introducing them to my friends and having a new song to add to my Galaxy, there are always a few songs that remain a constant staple on my playlists for a few weeks (sometimes month). Right now that staple would have to be Rae Sremmurd’s debut album SremmLife. Now this album has been out since January and I’ve been listening to it off and on since it’s release but lately I can’t help but revert back to the Mike Will Made It produced turn up tracks throughout the past few weeks.
Maybe it’s the catchiness of hooks like the one on “Come Get Here” or some of the features that can be found on the album (“Throw Some Mo” being my favorite feature record), or it could just be since I’ve been partying a little more lately, Sremmlife has been the perfect soundtrack to my fun nights. Some people thought Rae Sremmurd would become one hit wonders after their debut single “No Flex Zone” blazed the charts but with Mike Will execitve producing the album and being on his Interscope Records imprint EarDrummers, I couldn’t see them not becoming big in the hip hop scene. So if you’re into fun hip hop records and are in need of some new music to add to your Spotify party playlist, check out SremmLife.
Bonus: I hate to admit it but I’m also in love with Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”! The chorus got to me and now I can’t escape it. Check that out too!
