RL Grime and Big Sean create insane banger “Kingpin”

Over the last few years I’ve really become interested in learning about music beyond the artist. While artist play an essential role singing, rapping or performing a song; the writers and producers really help bring the vision to life. This is where Henry Steinway or better known as RL Grime comes in.

RL Grime is a producer of hip hop, trap and bass music and is part of an electronic music collective called WeDidIt. With an EP that debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Charts and some crazy remixes for Benny Benassi, Chief Keef and Shlohmo, Grime knows how to make a dope record.

“Kingpin” is RL Grime’s latest single and the first single from his upcoming debut album “Void”. Featuring some cocky bars from Big Sean that remind me of Sean’s song “Paradise“, “Kingpin” has some dark production that sounds like someone threw a rager in the middle of the jungle.

With millions of plays on SoundCloud and a growing fan base, I think I may need to start doing my homework on RL Grime. Look out for the release of “Void” on November 17th.

What do you think of “Kingpin”? Let me know in the comments!
