Pure Heroine is one of the best albums of all time!

It’s difficult to determine when an album is timeless or a classic especially when artists release new material every year, but when an album has the ability to resonate with you years after its release and still sound as fresh as the day it was released then it’s definitely something special. If you missed out on the introduction to Lorde when she released her lead single “Royals” in 2013 then I admire your ability to avoid insanely popular songs because that track was played every where. At the age of 17, Lorde has released a debut album that has sold over 2 million copies worldwide and received numerous awards, accomplishing goals that can take some artists years to achieve.

While fans wait for the anticipated sophomore release, they can check out “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” soundtrack that’s being curated by Lorde and features a track from her called “Yellow Flicker Beat

When your tailoring a soundtrack for one of the biggest movie franchises right now, you have to bring your A-game and by the looks of the tracklist, Lorde did not disappoint. Lorde has recruited legends from Grace Jones to Bats For Lashes and new artists that are making an impact on the charts like Tinashe, Tove Lo` and Charli XCX (Plus a personal favorite Yeezus).

Yellow Flicker Beat was released in September and recently another single came out called “This Is Not A Game” (Featuring The Chemical Brothers, Miguel, & Lorde). I’m digging both tracks especially production-wise that makes me think of the futuristic landscape of the Capitol.

Expect to hear the rest of the soundtrack on November 18, three days before the movie will be seen by the masses.
