Who would’ve thought that the youngest member of the group Jonas Brothers would end up crafting grown and sexy R&B tracks? While Nick Jonas give us glimpses of solo offerings when he did a side project called Nick Jonas & the Administration in 2010,  I wasn’t part of the Jonas demographic but I’m definitely feeling his most recent direction.

Nick just released “Numb” a hard knocking track that has him dealing with the aftermath of a girl that’s stolen his heart and left him numb. Hearing “Numb” reminds of “Future Sexx/Love Sounds” from J.T especially with the production (Sidenote: Mike Posner produced and co-write this track with Nick and it has me wondering what the hell Posner has been cooking up for himself).

With a feature from Angel Haze and an beat that’s that I can already hear playing on the radio, I like the direction Nick decided to go with his music. It’s always nice hearing an artist showcasing their diversity and going against the grain from what’s expected from them. If you haven’t checked out his first single “Jealous” and like “Numb”, I’d give that one a listen as well.
